Shrek (1935 series) is a 1935 series. Basically the old Shrek made in 1935. It ran from April 5, 1935 to September 20, 1952. It came after the 1912 series. It was preceded by a 1903 short.

Trivia[]
- It originally ended with the Finale on May 17, 1937, but the episodes slowly re-released in full color from 1946-1952, and officially ended again on September 20, 1952.
- It was preceded by a 1903 short and the 1912 series.
- The only characters in seasons 1-7 were Shrek, Shrek's Mom, Shrek's Dad, Donkey, Gingy, The Muffin Man, Puss In Boots, and Rumplestiltskin. The Dragon, Princess Fiona, and Lord Farquaad weren't added until near the end of Season 8, and Shrek's Children didn't appear until the very end of Episode 100!
- Both the Black and White and Color versions of the complete series came out on VHS in 1997, on LaserDisc in 1989, and on DVD in 2016. There is a plan to release it on Blu-Ray along with 1935 Shrek The Movie sometime in 2020, and both versions of the series will be put on Netflix and other digital streaming services in 2021.
- It was announced that there will be a feature film that is planned to be released sometime in 2020. The film will be titled "1935 Shrek The Movie: Lost in New Swamp City!" or "1935 Shrek The Movie" for short.
